 The pieces to perform are free and without constraints of number, genre and style. The band takes the field either in formation or in free style. It places itself in the middle of the field and it waits for the "starting signal" from the judge.
Time-limit of the performance is 16 minutes; it includes: entrance, placing, show, exit.
Total time is calculated as soon as the first performer takes the field and it ends when the last performer leaves the field.
The valuation of the band begins at the "starting signal" and it ends after 12 minutes of performance.
No judgment is expressed for those performances which last less than 8 minutes.
The valuation criteria for the show competition are:
- clothes / uniform
- precision
- gait
- march discipline
- repertoire
- intonation
- quality of emission and balancing of sound
- technique and articulation
- rhythm and metrics
- performance
- creativity
- choreography
- general result
- artistic expression
